Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) project began construction in 2002. The main goal of the project was to develop medical tourism in Dubai. The project combines medical services of the world's best brands, also includes hotels, shopping facilities and a large number of additional related infrastructure. Total area of real estate exceeds 800,000 square meters. The area is located 10 km from the city center and is characterized by high transport and pedestrian accessibility.

The master plan for Phase 2 is more than 250 non-health care residents: specialized health care & residential facilities, shopping, entertainment facilities, schools, nurseries, banks, retail, two 5-star hotels. The educational institutions in the area provide an opportunity to combine theoretical education, clinical practice and research.
