The developer of the project is Dubai Holding and the architect is Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The height of the observation tower will be at least 1,800 ft with 112 storeys. The tower will be primarily used as an attraction so there won’t be any residential units in the Burj Jumeirah building, but residences may appear on the same territory, adjacent to the tower in the future.
The Burj Jumeirah area has a convenient location near the main highway in Dubai - the Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), which is also the longest. Umm Suqeim Street (D63) is also adjacent to the area and the neighbouring territories include Al Barsha 1, Umm Al Sheif and Umm Suqeim 3. Two free economic zones such as Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai Internet City are also located in close proximity as the road to both zones can be reached within a 10 minute drive.
Both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport are 35-40 minutes’ drive away. The nearest bus stops are located in Al Barsha 1: Sheikh Zayed Service Rd Coral Boutique Hotel 1, Al Barsha Habtoor House 1 and Mashreq Metro Bus Stop Landside 1.
